Participants in this program will travel to Greece during spring break 2025 and get a first-hand introduction to the country’s foremost sites from Greek and Roman antiquity. The sites visited during the driving tour in the first part of the program include Ancient Corinth, Isthmia, Nemea, Argos, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nauplio, Tiryns, Olympia, Delphi, and Marathon. Students will examine the archaeological remains at each locale, learn about their significance in ancient time, visit local museums, and generally immerse themselves into both the classical and modern landscape of the Peloponnese and mainland Greece.

During the second part of the program, the group will be stationed in Athens, where students will engage important sites like the Acropolis, the Theater of Dionysus, the Areopagus, the Pnyx (assembly), the Ancient Agora, the Roman Forum, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the Keramikos (ancient cemetery). They will also visit the National Archaeological Museum and the Acropolis Museum. The course carries one credit hour and satisfies the Experiential Learning (EXP) requirement in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
